It has always been clear that the responsibility of caring for the neglected has rested on the churches. Churches should step up and take charge of caring for the widow, orphans and the homeless that fill our towns and cities.
We are all "one body" and together WE (all of us who believe in Jesus Christ) make up "the church".
We can no longer stand by and let churches and the governments get rich while ignoring the needs of the very people we are commanded by God to protect. God puts so much regard on the caring for the weakest, most vulnerable, of our society that if we are to call ourselves "Christians" then it is our obligation to make sure that we are not only generous in our offerings and giving to the church but we must be assured that the offerings are being used for more than just running a building or paying wages to a pastor-ship. It is to be used for the uplifting and support of the helpless and seeing that the gospel reaches the lost. We need to give a voice to the voiceless
and share our power with the powerless.
Let us be able to pray and tell our Father that we have kept His commands just as His righteous have done long before us. "I have removed from my house the sacred portion and have given it to the Levite, the alien, the fatherless (orphaned) and the widow, according to all you commanded. I have not turned aside from your commands nor have I forgotten any of them." Deuteronomy 26:13 (NIV) emphases added

Because the interest in the issue of orphan children and defenseless widows and our work against it is growing and in order to ensure that the momentum continues to grow, it is essential that we bring structure to the assistance people want to offer. This, combined with our growing needs, is why we are focusing on the Mary’s Comfort Grace of Giving Team – a group of devoted people who pledge to give $20 (or more) each month to support the ongoing efforts of this ministry. As Grace of Giving team member you can help people in desperation by reaching within your circle of influence. Q: What is your Federal Tax Status?
A: As of October 6, 2008, we are a 501(C)(3) PUBLIC CHARITY.
ALL DONATIONS ARE FULLY TAX DEDUCTIBLE.
Q: How are the funds that you collect for the ministry allocated?
A: At least 80% of your donation goes toward Immediate Intervention. We work directly with the organization to rescue widows and orphans in their distress. 10% goes back out to other anointed ministries and organizations that are making a difference in the lives of wodows and orphans around the world. Not more than 10% of the donation is used to support the ongoing administrative work of Mary's Comfort Ministries. Contributions are applied toward promoting and fulfilling the needs of widows and orphans, assisting victim recovery and restoration, giving lectures and seminars, distributing informative brochures within our communities, and providing direct help, information and assistance to widows and orphans.
