Statement of Faith
  • The Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired and infallible Word of God.

  • There is one God, existing eternally in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • Jesus is the Christ, conceived by the Holy Spirit and virgin born, the Son of God, the one and only Savior, the Lord of all.
  • Christ sacrificially died on the cross and shed His blood as the atonement for sin.
  • God raised Him from the dead bodily; He ascended into Heaven, and He will visibly return in glory according to His promise.
  • Salvation is God’s gift of eternal life, presented to all who, by faith, accept Jesus Christ as Savior and receive spiritual new birth by the Holy Spirit.
  • Abundant Christian living is possible only for those who continually yield their lives to the power and control of the indwelling Holy Spirit.
  • Jesus issued Christians a “Great Commission”: to spread the Good News of His salvation to all peoples and every nation.
To fulfill this commission, Christians must not only proclaim the love of God, but demonstrate it through deeds of compassion, such as feeding the poor and hungry, providing for orphans, widows and the homeless andassisting the sick and distressed as God directs.

Core principles

  • Minister to every woman and child in need.
  • Tithe 10% into other ministries.
  • Never accept money with strings attached or that would inhibit our ability to share Biblical truths with the women and children we serve.

We Decree that:

Y    We believe in Jesus Christ and proclaim Him Lord over our life.

Y   We apply the blood of Jesus over our families and ourselves.  We decree that we and our households will serve the Lord.

Y   We establish a border around our family of protection and declare that no weapon formed against us will prosper.

Y   We establish the borders of spiritual authority around our pastors and spiritual leaders.  We decree that no evil shall befall them or our church family.  We cover them with the blood of Jesus.

Y   We cover the orphan and the fatherless of Southern Indiana with the blood of Jesus.  We call them into salvation.  We decree the spirit of adoption to take place in their lives and that they will know God as their Father.  We place a border of protection around them and decree they will love and serve Him all the days of their lives.

Y   As a widows, we proclaim our God given authority to establish the civil borders of our city, our region, state and nation.  We proclaim Jesus Christ Lord over Southern Indiana, Indiana and the United States and that the borders are secure.

Y   We open the borders to Jesus Christ and His representatives and call all of Southern Indiana and the United States into salvation.

Y   We close the borders to Satan and all his representatives and every false god.  We deny both access and dominion to every false religion, in the name of Jesus.

Y   We open the borders of Southern Indiana to all like minded ministries. We welcome them and extend the favor and blessings of Southern Indiana over them.  We decree these ministries covered with the blood of Jesus Christ and no harm will come to them.

Y   We decree Southern Indiana is the stronghold of God and the Lord Jesus Christ is the ruling territorial authority over this nation.

Y   We decree and establish all these things in the mighty and Holy name of Jesus Christ. Amen

Philanthropy is based on voluntary action for the common good. It is a tradition of giving and sharing that is primary to the quality of life. To be informed of the organization's mission, of the way the organization intends to use donated resources, and of its capacity to use donations effectively for their intended purposes.

To be informed of the identity of those serving on the organization's governing board and to expect the board to exercise prudent judgment in its stewardship responsibilities.

To have access to the organization's most recent financial statements.

To be assured their gifts will be used for the purposes for which they were given.

To receive appropriate acknowledgment and recognition.

To be assured that information about their donations is handled with respect and with confidentiality to the extent provided by law.

To expect that all relationships with individuals representing organizations of interest to the donor will be professional in nature.

To be informed whether those seeking donations are volunteers, employees of the organization or hired solicitors.

To have the opportunity for their names to be deleted from mailing lists that an organization may intend to share. (Mary's Comfort mailing and e-mail lists are never shared).

To feel free to ask questions when making a donation and to receive prompt, truthful and forthright answers.
